Rejuvenate sexual life
with Viagra the wonder pill
When male hormone levels start to
decline in later years, health decline also follows
this decrement. Men experience loss of muscle mass,
lowered energy levels, decreased immunity, increased
susceptibility to a variety of degenerative diseases,
decreased libido and fertility, and various degrees
of impotence. This situation can lead them to feel hopeless,
worthless and at the end of life. Such feelings further
aggravate the downward health spiral often resulting
in alienation from family and early death.
To help them deal with these feelings of being worthless
and unimportant, Viagra is a pill designed to help men
in dealing with sexual problems, especially ED. It is
a drug that was labeled as a “wonder drug”
keeping in mind the rejuvenating ability which could
help men in making their sexual life healthier.
Erectile Dysfunction may be caused by various factors.
Damage to nerves, arteries, smooth muscles, and fibrous
tissues are the most common causes of ED. General diseases
like diabetes, kidney failure, alcoholism, multiple
sclerosis, atherosclerosis, vascular disease, and neurological
disease, are other major factors that causes ED. These
days, ED is becoming a serious sexual health problem
in men, as it affects a person psychologically. Since
it is a very personal problem, people suffering from
Erectile Dysfunction rarely come forward to talk it
openly with health personnel. However, nowadays, it
is discussed openly and more men are coming forward
to treat it.
Viagra is used to treat Erectile Dysfunction and impotence.
ED is the inability to get or keep an erection in men.
Viagra belongs to a class of medications called phosphodiesterase
(PDE) inhibitors. It works by increasing the blood flow
to the penis during sexual stimulation. This increased
blood flow can cause an erection. Viagra does not cure
erectile dysfunction or increase sexual desire. It just
helps in stimulation of the sex organs and helps in
having a satisfying intercourse.
Viagra is available as a tablet to be taken by mouth.
It should be taken as needed about 1 hour before sexual
activity. However, it can be taken anytime from 4 hours
to 30 minutes before sexual activity. Viagra can be
taken with or without food. However, if you take it
with a high-fat meal, it may take longer for the medication
to start to work.
The process of maintaining an erection involves the
parasympathetic nervous system causing the release of
nitric oxide (NO) in the corpus cavernosum of the penis.
NO binds to the receptors of the enzyme guanylate cyclase
which results in increased levels of cyclic guanosine
monophosphate (cGMP), leading to smooth muscle relaxation
which results in increased inflow of blood and an erection.
Viagra is a potent and selective inhibitor of cGMP
specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) which is responsible
for degradation of cGMP in the corpus cavernosum. The
molecular structure of Viagra is similar to that of
cGMP and acts as a competitive binding agent of cGMP
in the corpus cavernosum, resulting in better erections.
Proper dosage is mentioned at the discretion of a licensed
medical doctor. It is usually recommended to start with
a dosage of 50 mg and then lower or raise the dosage
as appropriate. The drug is available in three dosage
quantities which are 25, 50, and 100 mg.
Due to its miraculous advantage of rejuvenating the
sex life and for a satisfying sexual intercourse, Viagra
is being used. It not only helps in maintaining and
erection and having complete intercourse but also saves
men from feelings of embarrassment and depression.
